Jon DeRosa

Jon has been working in the field of Somatic Healing and PNE (Psychoneuroenergetics) since 2017, having studied under Catalina Ureta and Judith Johnson of the Somatic Institute in Los Angeles. His approach combines the Somatic techniques of Dr. Peter Levine combined with the Body Electronics and points-holding work of Dr. John Whitman Ray. In June 2018, Jon had the opportunity to study under Dr. Stanley Rosenberg, focusing on techniques to regulate vagal nerve function. 

Jon came to this work after years of apprenticeship in shamanic healing and curanderismo, and at times incorporates elements of shamanic counseling in his work.  He is a native of New Jersey and New York City, and now resides in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.
